Homework WEEK 3

What is compression and why do we use it?
Compression is shrinking a file size so that it can be sent or stored somewhere that does not alow alot of storage space or inforamation to be sent.
What is the difference between lossy and lossless compression?
In a lossy file, information is lost. An example of a lossy file is a .jpg. In a lossless file, no information is lost. An example of a lossless file is .gif.
